Kathryn K. Cheek, MD, FAAP
Dr. Cheek is a native of Farmville, North Carolina and moved to Columbus in 1985. She earned her Bachelor of Science, Medical Technology from the University of North Carolina. She received her Masters in Health Education from The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta where she also earned her Medical Doctorate. Dr. Cheek served her residency at Emory University, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She was also chief resident of Pediatrics at Emory University.
Dr. Cheek was board certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics in 1987 and has maintained her certification since. She serves on the Pediatrics Faculty at Piedmont Columbus Regional and is an affiliate member of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the America Academy of Pediatrics (Georgia Chapter), the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Muscogee County Medical Society.
Her hobbies include reading, hiking, and spending time helping out with her children’s activities. She is married to Dr. Ben Cheek, OB/GYN. She has three adult children and two grandchildren.
